Robert C. Roth

Of Plainfield, passed away after a brief illness at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Age 80 years.
Survived by his wife of 61 years Dorothy V. Roth (nee Hazdra), a son Thomas (Dawn) Roth and a daughter Cindy (John) Rife. Four Grandchildren Greg and Amy Rife, Mikal and McKayla Roth. His sister Collette (John) Mirowski and sister-in-law Anne Roth. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Gregory and Sophie Roth, a brother Henry Roth (1996) and nephew Mark Roth (1996).
Veteran of Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Bob retired as a sales representative from Allen-Edmon Shoe Company, and enjoyed spending his winters in Florida.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, February 9 at 9:30 A.M. to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M.
